Game Client Developer in MALTA

Role Summary:

As a Game Client Developer, you will focus on creating the client-side of online games, ensuring a responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing interface. This role involves implementing gameplay mechanics and visual assets on the player's end while optimizing for performance across multiple devices and platforms. The Game Client Developer works closely with our server developers, designers, and product teams to ensure the game meets both technical and player experience standards. They also troubleshoot client-side issues, handle user interactions, and continuously improve the user experience based on player feedback and analytics.

Main Tasks:

• Implement Client-Side Game Mechanics – Code and integrate gameplay features, animations, and player interactions for smooth functionality.
• Develop and Refine UI/UX – Create user-friendly interfaces and intuitive navigation for an engaging player experience.
• Optimize for Performance Across Devices – Ensure games run smoothly on various platforms (desktop, mobile, tablet) by optimizing graphics, assets, and code.
• Collaborate on Asset Integration – Work with artists and sound designers to integrate graphics, animations, and audio seamlessly into the game client.
• Troubleshoot and Debug Client Issues – Identify and resolve client-side bugs and performance issues to improve game stability.
• Coordinate with Backend Teams – Ensure smooth communication with server developers to sync game client and server interactions.
• Adhere to Regulatory Standards – Ensure compliance with iGaming regulations related to user interface, responsible gaming, and data protection.
• Stay Updated on Client Development Trends – Keep up with industry trends and advancements in game client technology and player interaction techniques.

Personal Requirements:

• You have a strong knowledge of languages and tools for client development, such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript is a plus. Experience with front-end game frameworks (PixiJS, Phaser, ThreeJS, ..), preferred PixiJS.
• You have high accuracy in coding and asset integration for a seamless, polished game experience.
• You have sense of beauty for layouts and animations.
• You are skilled in working within a team environment, with excellent communication to coordinate effectively with designers, artists, and server teams.
• You possess an analytical and creative mindset identifying and resolving client-side issues.
• You have the capacity to stay current on new tools, trends, and technologies in client development for gaming.
• You have strong organizational skills to manage tasks, prioritize, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• You have a Player-Centric Mindset aiming to create engaging games in the front-end that meet player expectations.
• You worked in a similar position for at least 4 years.
• You have strong problem- solving skills and attention to detail.
• You are fluent in spoken and written English. Our employees come from all around the world an English is our company language.
