Oracle Apps Support Engineer in UNITED KINGDOM

A dynamic business services consultancy is undergoing a significant digital evolution, implementing a strategic transformation project. They are seeking a UK-based Application Support Engineer to join their team.

This role focuses on supporting a core business platform built on Oracle technologies, encompassing the main operating system, a client portal, system integrations, and a field service application. The engineer will ensure smooth platform operation within the Application Management Team, emphasising efficient delivery, responsiveness to business needs, quality, and cost optimisation.

Responsibilities include managing incidents and requests within agreed service levels using a service management platform (similar to ServiceNow). This involves collaborating with business users to resolve issues and fulfill requests. The role also requires developing scripts to analyze and manipulate platform data to meet evolving business requirements.

Key skills and experience include:

• Demonstrable experience supporting enterprise-level applications based on Oracle technologies.
• Background in customer support, incident management, and problem resolution.
• Strong SQL skills for database management and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, ideally with exposure to modules related to service contracts, asset management, and scheduling.
• Experience with middleware technologies for system integration.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to applications and middleware, including log analysis, performance troubleshooting, and applying fixes.
• Familiarity with a service management platform.
