Game Server Developer in MALTA

Role Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented person for the role of Game Server Developer to join our team and continue the creation of engaging and high-performance casino games. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in building the backend logic that powers our games while ensuring optimal performance, clean code, reliability and scalability are preserved.

As a Game Server Developer, you will be working closely with mathematicians, so it is important that you have a good knowledge of mathematics and statistics.

During game development you will also be working closely with Game Client Developers to design and implement an API for a game. You will be responsible for maintaining code quality through clean coding practices, creating unit tests, doing code reviews and contribution to the continuous improvement of our Game Server Framework. Your analytical skills will be key in calculating Return to Player (RTP) metrics and optimizing game performance. This role demands proficiency in object-oriented programing (OOP) languages like C++, Java, Go and a passion for delivering top-notch backend solutions in the gaming industry.

Main Tasks:

• Ensure Security and Compliance – Implement secured and bug free code, prevent fraud, and comply with iGaming regulations
• Integrate Game Mechanics – Collaborate with game designers to incorporate game rules, progression, and outcomes into server operations.
• Troubleshoot and Debug – Identify and resolve server issues, optimizing for performance and reliability.
• Manage Real-Time Data – Process and store gameplay data, user stats, and other information to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Test and Monitor Server Health – Conduct Unit testing to ensure game is working as intended

Personal Requirements:

• You have a university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines; or relevant professional experience
• You have worked in a similar role for at least 3+ years
• You have professional experience with Statically Typing and Multi-paradigm languages
• You have the ability to write clean, readable and performant code
• You have knowledge of coding patterns
• You are good at debugging and optimization skills
• You have excellent written and verbal communication
• You possess strong math skills
• You are fluent in spoken and written English. Our employees come from all around the world an English is our company language.
