Systems Engineer (6-12 Month Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Fully Remote
About Us: Join our Fortune 50 Healthcare client and their Dynamic Productivity Engineering team within the DevOps Group! They are passionate about driving efficiency and reliability across our systems. As a Systems Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting critical services and infrastructure that underpin our CI/CD efforts. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver technical DevOps solutions and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
7+ Years of Linux Expertise:
- Proven track record in Linux systems administration and engineering.
- Mastery of Linux, Windows OS, and containerization.
OpenShift Experience:
- Skilled in building and troubleshooting OpenShift deployments.
- Familiarity with versioning and release strategies using Git/GitHub.
Scripting and Automation:
- Proficient in Python and Bash.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Helm, etc.).
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- AWS Certification and/or Azure certification is a plus.
- OpenShift Certification is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
Kubernetes Environment Design:
- Architect, implement, and support application Kubernetes environments on OpenShift (bonus points for EKS expertise).
Software Engineering and Code Reviews:
- Engage in software engineering and conduct thorough code reviews.
- Deliver innovative software tools, technologies, and application frameworks.
Implementation Process Involvement:
- Maintain deep involvement throughout the implementation lifecycle.
DevOps Adherence:
- Ensure alignment with existing DevOps enterprise direction and architectural strategies.
Hands-On Development:
- Be a proactive member of the DevOps teams:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain products and solutions.
