The Opportunity

Ally Invest is looking for an experienced developer to contribute to our distributed collection of services and web applications that work in concert to provide real-time financial solutions. The ideal talent will have experience developing software in an agile environment utilizing Domain Driven Design (DDD). Ally Invest's developers gather and analyze requirements, make architectural and design recommendations, code, document, and test their contributions in an energetic, team-oriented manner. Software Developers are expected to contribute significantly to the formulation and design of the solution, not just the coding implementation. The ideal candidate for this role is a high energy, team player looking to come join a group of likeminded individuals to make an impact on the market place. The Work Itself

  • Collaborates with other developers and provides significant contributions to develop specifications to resolve business client questions, problems, and to address enhancement needs.
  • Uses technical knowledge, creativity and company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems.
  • Interfaces with senior management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction.
  • Interacts directly with business clients.
  • Serves as a mentor to lower level developers.

Skills

The Skills You Bring

  • Extensive JavaScript experience including understanding of current ECMAScript standards
  • Extensive experience with React
  • Experience with Angular 2+
  • Experience with Typescript
  • Experience with Node.js and node frameworks (Express)
  • Experience building cross-browser compatible single page web applications
  • Experience with web presentation layer (semantic HTML, CSS Preprocessors like Sass, Less)
  • Experience both consuming and producing REST APIs
  • Experience writing unit tests (Mocha, Jasmine)
  • Experience with WebSockets/Socket.IO
  • Experience working with Source Control Management Systems (Git etc.)
  • Has worked on a product-based development team
  • Motivated to seek out solutions to complicated problems
  • Detail and results oriented and able to prioritize tasks, gathering skills and identifying dependencies
  • Excellent oral and written communication
