Frontend Developer in GERMANY

Profile Overview

As one of picdrop’s Frontend Developers, you'll be instrumental in shaping the direction of our cutting-edge product. You'll be at the forefront of our transition to a Vue.js application and will leverage your frontend expertise to solve complex technical problems in a friendly and collaborative environment. Your work will directly impact thousands of creative professionals, streamlining their workflows and empowering their craft.

Our tech stack: VueJS (with Vite 3, Rollup, TypeScript, SCSS, Tailwind CSS, ESLint, Prettier, Vitest, Cypress, Storybook) for future development, and legacy Code using VanillaJS, jQuery, SCSS, and WebPack

Your immediate impact in the first 3-6 months will be:

• Within the 1st week: you’ll make your first contributions, like bugfixes or low hanging fruits
• Within the 1st month: you’ll deliver your first feature or meaningful change with support from your peers
• Within 3 months: you’ll be handling bigger features/changes from conception to delivery on your own
• Within 6 months: you’ll know your way around all of picdrop and will be able to handle all types of features/bugs/changes

Your responsibilities

• Enhance and improve the picdrop platform
• Refactor and modernize legacy code
• Focus on performance, security, usability, and accessibility
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

What You bring to the table

• 5 years of frontend development experience
• Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue.js (TypeScript, SCSS)
• A passion for security, performance, and user-centric design
• Experience working with complex systems and remote teams
• Self-driven and structured approach to work
• You’re fluent in English and you can speak German
