JOB OVERVIEW
In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and developing end-to-end solutions that
integrate cutting-edge technologies to enhance data management, analysis, and
communication across the life sciences domain. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping
innovative IT solutions that drive efficiency, compliance, and advancements in the
pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated full stack applications tailored to the unique needs of pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, ensuring seamless integration of data management and analytical tools
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists, analysts, and IT experts, to translate complex business requirements into scalable and robust technical solutions, driving innovation and efficiency within the industry
- Architect and implement secure and compliant systems, adhering to industry regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR, to safeguard sensitive biomedical data and maintain the highest standards of data integrity and privacy
- Utilize a deep understanding of front-end and back-end technologies to optimize user experiences, streamline workflows, and create intuitive interfaces for data visualization, analysis, and reporting
- Contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards, fostering a
culture of technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement among
the engineering team.

- Perform thorough testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions, addressing any issues promptly and effectively
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments, identifying opportunities to leverage innovative tools and frameworks that can enhance the capabilities of our consulting services
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding their professional growth and facilitating their successful contributions to projects
- Engage in client interactions to gather requirements, present technical solutions, and offer insights on technological possibilities, contributing to business development and fostering strong client relationships
- Contribute to the documentation of technical architectures, project specifications, and user guides, enabling effective communication and knowledge transfer both internally and externally
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a related industry
Minimum Requirements
- Extensive proficiency in modern full stack development technologies, including but not limited to JavaScript (Node.js, React, Angular, or similar), Python, SQL, and RESTful API design
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, end-to-end software solutions within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector, showcasing a deep understanding of the industry's unique challenges and requirements
- Strong grasp of data security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and experience implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive biomedical data
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while providing technical guidance and oversight
- Expertise in designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for data visualization, analysis, and reporting, with a keen eye for user experience and usability
- Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience deploying applications in cloud environments, leveraging services such as containers, serverless, and microservices architecture
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges, coupled with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable software solutions
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and contribute to client-facing interactions

- Familiarity with bioinformatics, computational biology, or other life sciences domains, enabling a deeper understanding of the scientific context and facilitating effective collaboration with domain experts
- Experience with data analysis and visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Plotly) and a background in data science, allowing for more sophisticated data presentation and analysis capabilities
- Certification in relevant technologies or frameworks, such as AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified Azure Developer, or similar, providing additional validation of expertise in cloud-based development
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), enabling the integration of predictive analytics and data-driven insights into software solutions
- Prior experience working in a consulting or client-facing role, showcasing the ability to manage client relationships, understand business needs, and translate them into technical solutions effectively
- Contributions to open-source projects, technical publications, or presentations at industry conferences, indicating a proactive engagement with the broader software development community
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, test automation, and DevOps practices, streamlining the software development and deployment lifecycle
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and quality management systems within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, enhancing the ability to deliver solutions that align with industry standards
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful project delivery
