Product Designer in EMEA

TryHackMe is the fastest-growing online cyber security training platform. Our mission is to make learning and teaching cyber security easier by providing gamified security exercises and challenges. We're seeking a motivated and creative product designer for TryHackMe! With this flexible remote position, you will become a full-time member of the product and design team, working in the Careers and Skills squad to develop new functionality that helps people achieve their goals in cyber security.

The Role

This exciting role will work closely with the product manager and engineers, to develop new solutions that help our users break into a career in cyber. Day-to-day you’ll be talking to users, iterating on ideas, designing wireframes, making high fidelity mockups, working with stakeholders, and helping engineers to ship high quality user experiences in the product.

You must be at ease working in a small design team, coming up with imaginative solutions both alone and collaboratively, thinking creatively outside the box to create answers, and effectively communicating your design concepts and justification verbally and visually. Your work will have the opportunity to be seen by millions of cyber security students and professionals around the world!

• Research - Dive deep into user problems, by speaking directly with users, looking at product usage data, and researching best practices.
• Design - Create wireframes to explore ideas, working at a fast pace to iterate and arrive on a chosen direction. Work on high fidelity designs ready for implementation.
• Collaborate - Work daily with your team, particularly with the product manager. Frequent collaboration with stakeholders, including the founders of TryHackMe who are passionate about how we build product.
• Communicate - Bring a design mindset to the team, advocate for good design principles, and doing the best thing for the user.
• Measure - Track the success of product updates, whether through an AB test, or analysing product usage data. Understand user behaviour through analytics and qualitative research.

Skills & Experience

An already established Product Designer/ UX Designer/ UI Designer, you will have:

• At least 2 years of UX/UI experience on consumer facing websites or apps.
• Proficiency using Figma,
• Comfortable creating wireframes and low fidelity mockups to explore ideas with others.
• Experience working with development teams and product managers.
• Understanding of users' behaviours and experience in analysing product usage using both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
• An excellent mindset for resolving issues, creating fantastic products, and demonstrating a passion in simplifying the lives of our customers.
• Beyond images, you can express yourself clearly verbally and in writing through common communication channels (Slack, email) as well as longer-form writing where necessary.
• A strong grasp on gestalt principles of design, information architecture, and best practice design methodologies for web and mobile.
