Enterprise Security Architect (relocation to Belgium) in PORTUGAL

We are seeking a talented Enterprise Security Architect willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.

Important Notes:

• This is not a technical or IT role but a strategic position focused on defining requirements and demonstrating solutions.
• The role involves strategic-level operation and collaboration with senior management.
• Requires the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Operating on a strategic, non-technical level, this role focuses on aligning business objectives with robust information security practices to ensure resilience against evolving threats. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior stakeholders, lead the development of future-state security architectures, and guide the adoption of secure solutions across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain secure reference architectures for diverse information management and technology environments.
• Develop and present future-state security architecture models for capabilities such as trust management, IAM, and secrets management.
• Conduct architecture risk assessments, including threat modeling, for IT and telecom infrastructure domains.
• Assess compliance of architectural solutions against established standards and best practices.
• Provide strategic guidance to delivery teams for selecting and implementing security controls.
• Occasionally assume a solution architect role for enterprise security services design.
• Author and maintain security strategies, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Develop long-term security visions and roadmaps, presenting these to senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify business opportunities enabled by information security, supporting proposal development with quality estimates and reusable assets.
• Foster strategic alignment by building strong relationships with tribe leads and suppliers.
• Apply industry standards and best practices issued by organizations such as CIS, NIST, and ISO.

Qualifications and Certifications:

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, SABSA, TOGAF, or equivalent in information security or architecture practices.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with architecture analysis, design practices, and content frameworks.
• Solid understanding of regulatory and legal requirements related to information security and data protection.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Strategic Security Architecture: Minimum 3 years of experience in cyber/information security architecture, with a focus on strategic planning and risk management.
• Lifecycle Management: Experience managing architecture across the full lifecycle, from inception to implementation.
• Layered Security: Expertise in integrating diverse security technologies into layered, defense-in-depth architectures.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to reconcile stakeholder viewpoints through trade-off analysis and negotiation.
• Holistic Perspective: Broad understanding of security capabilities supporting enterprise goals, including IAM, EPP, and application security.
• Frameworks and Standards: Applied industry standards such as CIS and agile methodologies in large organizations.
• Analytical and Conceptual Skills: Excellent problem-solving, research, and fast learning abilities.
