Kokku is seeking a Senior Gameplay Engineer to join our team! As a Senior Gameplay Engineer you will:
Design and implement gameplay systems for our projects, collaborating closely with other programmers and the production team
Serve as an individual contributor in gameplay development, identifying and mitigating potential risks during the development process
Solve engineering problems using sound software engineering principles, design patterns, and performance optimization techniques
Champion engineering excellence at Kokku and with our clients' development efforts
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Extensive professional experience in game development with a strong engineering background
Shipped two or more games and experience with multiplatform development
Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C++ or C#
Experience developing gameplay systems for previous projects and familiarity with Unreal Engine (UE4 or UE5), Unity, and other proprietary engines
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and technical insight
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Accountability to consistently meet and exceed performance expectations
High emotional intelligence and problem-solving mindset
Solid debugging and optimization skills
Enjoy solving challenging technical problems with effective solutions
Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work within deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptability to changing needs and requirements
