Instructional Designer in IRELAND

Our client, a global recruiter platform is looking to hire an innovative learning professional with experience and expertise in developing educational materials for an external audience on a 6-month contract. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in Ireland. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, tech-savvy, and design-minded, having a passion for customer education and an understanding of adult learning principles and theories.

This person will be a primary driver of the vision for the company’s educational efforts. They must be skilled in instructional design, training, curriculum development, copywriting, project management, and web-based training. Collaborating with Multimedia Design, Client / Customer Success, Product, Product Marketing, Brand, and related teams are critical for success.

Responsibilities

• Drive the vision and lead the development and continuous evolution of the company’s learning materials.
• Be the main designer and copywriter of all new materials and update existing ones.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Brand, and Legal to ensure materials are compliant and meet the needs of their audience.
• Oversee and manage the creation, updates, and maintenance of materials for their product suite.
• Manage a library of learning assets by auditing, updating, and retiring outdated content, while collaborating with distribution teams to ensure the right channels are maintained.
• Lead efforts with the localisation team to scale learning materials for a global audience, ensuring they are adapted and accessible in multiple languages.
• Create innovative and engaging learning materials in a variety of formats, designed for global scalability.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Instructional Design

○ Effective project management skills

○ Multimedia production and design experience

○ Proficient at communicating complex processes and/or ideas through written communication

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in design, learning development, or a related field
• Video editing experience
• Voice-over recording (e.g., Adobe Audition)
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Wireframing and prototyping (e.g., Sketch, InVision, etc.)
• Presentation design
• Multimedia production skills (e.g., GIFs, infographics, animations, deck templates)
• Storyboarding
• Basic HTML and CSS
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator
• Curriculum development and technical writing
• Graphics manipulation and editing (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, SnagIt)
• Localisation experience
• Webinar facilitation experience
• Familiarity with adult learning theories and principles
