Back End Developer in IRELAND

My client is currently recruiting for Senior Backend Engineer to join a growing team on a permanent basis working on a fully remote basis. The Senior Backend Developer will be working on developing and maintaining microservices. The Senior Backend Engineer will work closely with the product team and focus on delivering secure, scalable and of course user friendly solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to backend services and systems written in GoLang.
• Optimize existing codebases for scalability and reliability.
• Respond to monitoring alerts and address issues promptly, including outside standard working hours.
• Identify and propose solutions to architectural challenges in a high-traffic environment.
• Perform Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) and contribute to post-incident reviews and improvements.
• Mentor team members and share knowledge.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical issues as they arise.

Experience Required

• Experience with high-traffic distributed architectures.
• Proficiency in writing and maintaining architectural documentation.
• Hands-on experience with core technologies such as GoLang, cloud platforms, and messaging systems.

Strong communication skills, including excellent written and spoken English

Educational Requirements

Degree in a related technical field
