Role Overview
Wello is seeking a talented Designer to join our team. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of our platform by creating intuitive and visually compelling designs that elevate the user experience for a global audience.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, and Business Development, to deliver impactful designs that align with our mission of empowering individuals worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design exceptional user experiences. Craft visually stunning and highly functional designs for Wello's mobile and web applications, setting new standards for UI/UX in the fintech and remittance industry.
- Create and iterate on user-centric designs. Develop wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes, focusing on simplicity, usability, and accessibility for a global audience.
- Own the design system. Build and maintain a scalable design system, ensuring consistency and alignment with Wello’s brand identity across all platforms.
- Collaborate closely with teams. Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are implemented smoothly, meeting both user and business needs.
- Push creative boundaries. Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and technologies, bringing fresh ideas to the table and continuously improving the product’s aesthetics and functionality.
- Advocate for users. Uphold user-centric design principles, ensuring that Wello’s products empower users and drive meaningful engagement globally.
- Conduct user research and testing. Collaborate with users and internal teams to validate design decisions, uncover pain points, and identify opportunities to elevate the user experience.
Requirements
- Preferred 5+ years of experience in digital design, ideally in remittance, fintech, crypto, or payments.
- A strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX and branding projects.
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma and Framer.
- A strong focus on understanding and solving user needs with empathy and creativity
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work in a remote, dynamic environment.
- A passion for innovation and creating designs that are both functional and visually engaging.
