Our client is a creative tech company specializing in building printing app with using AI technology. We are looking for independent and highly innovative people to form part of the team.
Your functions:
In this challenging position, you will develop the core printing app written in Scala, enabling customers to create personalized print products with minimal effort. You will work on a variety of algorithms to create optimal photo book layouts and image processing workflows, leveraging functional and reactive programming. You will design and develop new features and REST APIs during team meetings and improve the architecture to meet growing demand. Proactively identify and communicate improvements in your own work and the work of your team.
Requirements:
As a perfect candidate you have at least 7 years of development experience in developing backend applications (links to projects or GitHub are welcome), as well as good knowledge of Java, Scala or any other JVM based language (If you have no experience with Scala: You are willing and interested to learn Scala). You know how to write automated unit tests with their respective mocks and already have experience working with any SQL database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB) and any NoSQL database (Redis, AWS DynamoDB, MongoDB).
Personally, you will impress with your strong communication and presentation skills. You are a self-starter with a strong hands-on mentality and passion for solving problems. You work efficiently, prioritize workloads and meet important project deadlines. You are allowed to work in the EU/Austria (OR you have a degree in computer science, which is required to apply for an Austrian work permit). You have the option to move or live in Vienna.

The law mandates that we state that the minimal salary offered for this position, based on the responsibilities, and required education, is € 60.000,- per year. The actual salary is subject to negotiation and our client is ready to pay according to your actual experience and capabilities.
