Your Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer on our Tooling & Security Team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our central cloud platform. You'll spearhead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of tools and infrastructure stacks that elevate both the developer experience and the security posture of our infrastructure. Collaborating closely with your team, you'll provide expert consultation to other departments on cloud architecture and assist with implementation strategies. Your impact will be crucial in driving cross-team initiatives to establish best practices and implement robust cloud governance controls.

Your Responsibilities
- Shape our core processes, tools, and cloud-native infrastructure: Design innovative solutions, enhance existing systems, and optimize overall operational performance and developer agility while strengthening our security posture.
- Ensure scalability and reliability: Design and implement robust solutions, optimizing performance, and addressing potential bottlenecks or vulnerabilities in our cloud infrastructure.
- You build it, you run it: Build features and take ownership for testing, deployment and monitoring of your code. Yes, we believe in Serverless!
- Do it, do it, automate it: Simplify, automate and optimize processes that are currently in place.
Your Profile
- 5+ years in software engineering, preferably with a focus on cloud based systems development.
- Profound knowledge of Python, AWS and SQL. Experience with Linux is a plus.
- Experience with NoCode tools and monitoring platforms (e.g. DataDog) is a plus.
- Ability to build scalable systems in an iterative and agile way.
- Proven ability to own and drive projects to successful completion.
- Passion for infrastructure topics and the motivation to continuously improve self and team performance.
- Looking for permanent employment in an agile development team (no B2B contracts).
- Fluency in English.
€81,000 - €94,000 a year
Factors that may influence an employee's pay within this range include, but are not limited to, their experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, education level, seniority, and performance. The compensation for this role will be within the range of €81,000 to €94,000 + VSOP, depending on the factors described above, as assessed during the interview process. This is the lowest and highest salary that we in good faith believe to be fair for this role at the time of this posting. This compensation range may be subject to change in the future.
