We are looking for a
Senior Operations Engineer who is responsible for the operation of the Qwist PSD2 solutions and open banking products and also acts as a supporting service for all areas of the company.
You support others with enthusiasm and are ready to roll up your sleeves and take responsibility to make a difference company-wide!

This position follows a hybrid working schedule with semi-regular in-person events and meetings onsite. We have 3 offices in Germany; one in the beautiful harbor city of Hamburg (Germany), the second in the Bavarian capital Munich (Germany), and the third in the German capital Berlin (HQ). We come together a minimum of twice a year to celebrate our successes together.
Your tasks
- You will act as an expert in our operations team for private cloud management and DevOps implementations (ArgoCD, Ansible).
- You are responsible for our server systems and our operating environment, as well as the design, implementation and maintenance of our product portfolio based on Java, Kubernetes (Openshift) and various database cluster systems (MySQL/Galera, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
- You understand the importance of monitoring and metrics, and how to work with technologies like Prometheus, Grafana and similar applications.
- You act as a sparring partner for our development teams and solve complex infrastructure challenges.
- You are an active participant in high-level team activities such as architecture and process improvements.
Your profile
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Operations, coupled with a degree in computer science or a related field, is required.
- The ability to convey complex infrastructure concepts to technical and non-technical contacts is a central component of your skillset.
- You have experience with Openshift / Kubernetes cluster and CI/CD (ArgoCD, helm).
- You prioritize customer satisfaction and demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Experience in Java application management and in Databases would be excellent.
- Business fluency in English and at least good German languages skills are essential.
