Mission
The Product Marketing Manager mission is to work closely with clients, prospects, market influencers in the company’s target market segments, and with internal team members, to gather and synthesize information around market-wide problems, end-user use cases, and the related financial impact for the company’s end users. The information and insights gained and developed will be used to inform communication of the company’s value proposition, company and product positioning, product roadmap and prioritization, as well as drive marketing communications and prospect development, go-to-market strategies and sales tools and enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Fully immersing yourself into the day-to-day life of company’s target market segments.
- Identifying and documenting target market segment economic, business and end-user drivers, and documenting the end-user financial implications.
- Monitoring industry trends and conducting regular competitive analysis.
- Developing and/or clarifying company value proposition.
- Creating and maintaining key End User and Buyer Personas and Buyer Journeys.
- Leveraging insights into core marketing messaging platforms that are aligned with the market, and that build increased lead flow (inbound marketing strategy and deployment).
- Communicating key market information and insights throughout the company organization and across external stakeholders, including attending to industry trade shows to correctly position company as a leader in its space.
- Ensure all market-facing marketing assets in any form are in alignment with company’s marketing communication objectives.
- Structure and communicate company’s products and services effectively to ensure clear and consistent messaging across all channels and sales tools.
- Collaborate with product teams to align product positioning and messaging with market needs and company goals.
- Develop sales tools and enablement materials that effectively communicate the value and benefits of company’s products.
- Together with the Sales Engineering team, they will need to evaluate pricing models for both recurring services and implementation services.
- Evaluate the competition in terms of value proposition and positioning, transforming these analyses into insights for our positioning, pricing, and product, if necessary.
It will be a good match if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of directly related experience in a similar stage company with an emphasis on a market-driven approach.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Energy Management and/or Building Automation Sector. A good understanding of key elements of energy efficiency and building automation is a fundamental requirement.
- Hands-on experience with a formal Product Marketing methodology such as Pragmatic Marketing.
- Experience evaluating market needs through primary and secondary research to identify and document quantifiable problems and opportunities.
- Hands-on experience developing user personas and buyer journeys that probably drive deeper understanding of the client's needs throughout the organization.
- Demonstrated successes documenting, communicating and creating alignment around a unique value proposition.
- Proven ability to structure and communicate products effectively to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
- Demonstrated success translating Product Marketing insights into effective market messaging that ultimately increases inquiries and leads.
- Demonstrated success in developing sales tools and enablement materials that effectively communicate the value and benefits of the company’s products.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and innovate successfully in an emerging growth company with a fast-paced environment, balancing both strategic and tactical needs.
- Advanced fluency in both Spanish and English languages is a fundamental requirement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
