Quality Assurance Test Lead in JAPAN

Job Title: Project QA Lead | Location: Osaka, Japan | Positions: 2

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project QA Lead to oversee the quality assurance processes for Salesforce applications within the manufacturing domain. This role requires strong expertise in manual testing, excellent leadership capabilities, and fluency in both Japanese and English. The ideal candidate will manage testing activities, collaborate with onshore and offshore teams, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Management: Oversee and manage the end-to-end testing process for Salesforce applications, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
• Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders, including customers, developers, and project teams.
• Test Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and cases, focusing on Salesforce applications and related integrations.
• Collaboration: Work with Business Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed test cases.
• Data Validation: Ensure the quality and accuracy of data by validating data sources, transformations, and loading processes within Salesforce.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of testers, provide guidance, and ensure successful delivery of testing projects from offshore.
• Testing Activities: Execute functional, system integration, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Defect Management: Identify and document defects using tools like Jira or TFS, and ensure timely resolution.
• Documentation: Design, document, and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and test cases.
• Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for testing-related activities, providing updates and ensuring objectives are met.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience: 5–8 years in software testing, with a focus on manual testing of Salesforce and web applications.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Japanese and English (verbal and written communication).
• Domain Knowledge: Experience in the manufacturing domain with an understanding of industry-specific processes.
• Testing Methodologies: Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Salesforce Expertise: Experience with Salesforce testing tools like Salesforce Inspector and Workbench, along with integration and data validation testing.
• SQL Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL, with the ability to write simple queries for data validation.
• Defect Tracking: Proficiency in using tools like Jira, TFS, or similar bug-tracking systems.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage and mentor testing teams and take ownership of testing deliverables.

Must-Haves:

• 5–8 years of experience in manual testing, particularly Salesforce applications.
• Fluency in Japanese and English.
• Experience in the manufacturing domain.
• Proficiency in Salesforce testing tools and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of STLC, Agile, and Scrum.

Work Mode:

• Hybrid: 3 days in the office (Osaka) per week.

Interview Process:

1. Two technical interview rounds.
2. In-person interview with the country head (in Japanese).
3. Assessment of both project knowledge and language proficiency.

Additional Information:

• Initial Requirement: Work from the Osaka office for the first 4–5 months (3 days per week). Post this period, flexibility to work from a base city with required travel.
