We are seeking a project coordinator with strong writing/presentation skills who is looking to support at-risk communities for an entry-level position on our team. This 8-month role is a contract position with the potential to turn into a full-time salaried position within our company. We are a fully remote workplace, small team, and support a wide variety of projects for our clients. Rooted in the philosophy of independent living, our products and services are designed to maximize choice and promote control over one's life-planning and use of government funding. Some of the communities that our projects support includes people with disabilities, victims of human trafficking, and indigenous populations. We are a small and passionate team with varied backgrounds and experience.
Primary Role
As a Project Coordinator at Sonderbloom, you will play a key role in supporting projects that focus on affordable and supportive housing solutions, social services program design, and securing government funding. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage timelines, coordinate tasks, and ensure smooth communication across all phases of project execution. Key responsibilities include organizing meetings, tracking project milestones, research, preparing reports and project decks, preparing government funding submissions, and assisting with stakeholder engagement activities. The right candidate for this position can write compelling, strategic applications, business cases, and reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines. We are a remote workplace, so the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines independently and ensure work is organized on our project management software is an absolute must. The ideal candidate is strategically minded, detail-oriented, confident in meetings/presentations, and passionate about making a positive impact through our projects.
Knowledge and Experience:
Must Have:
Though the following section outlines our Nice to Have knowledge and experience, we are willing to train up the right candidate who is a naturally strong writer, researcher, and presenter. You must also be adept with technology and have top notch organizational skills. If you do not have 1-2 years’ experience or meet our other Nice to Have criteria, feel free to submit writing samples and detail in your cover letter how you are well suited for the position.
Nice to Have:
• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experienced with grant writing and research
• Experienced with preparing and leading presentations for a variety of stakeholders
• Experience coordinating between and within different teams
• Knowledge of Canva, Teamwork, M365 products (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is considered an asset
• Knowledge of Project Management Principles is considered an asset
• Knowledge of social services is considered an asset

• Ability to work independently and manage ongoing tasks

Term: 8-month contract with possibility of eventual renewal / permanent position
Location: Remote (with option for occasional travel to Toronto)
Annual Salary: 50K (pro-rated over 8 months)
