About The Client
The client is a European space and technology company. We are looking for candidates from European Union.
Responsibilities
Participate in ongoing and new projects in the field of software development for Satellite Control Software and Instrument Control Software
Perform software requirements engineering at the Technical Specification (TS) level and co-engineering at the Requirements Baseline (RB) level
Assist in developing the software architecture
Design and (further) develop software components
Develop and execute software unit tests, software integration tests, and software validation tests (TS & RB level)
Support the Scrum Master and Product Owner in planning and reporting project progress
Assist in defining, developing, and maintaining processes, tools, facilities, and technologies within the department
Requirements
Completed studies in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable qualification
Experience in software engineering
Proficiency in requirements development, software design, software development in C/C++, unit testing, software validation, software configuration management, and scripting (Python)
Knowledge of real-time operating systems like RTEMS, VxWorks, or Embedded Linux, as well as communication interfaces (MILBUS, CANBUS, Ethernet, serial interfaces)
Ideally, knowledge of multi-core processors (such as LEON Multicores GR712/GR740 and the Zynq 7000 (ARM) family) and their use in embedded systems
Experience applying agile approaches using software development processes according to ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C or similar (e.g., DO-178B)
Enthusiasm, self-motivation
Strong quality awareness as well as excellent teamwork and communication skills combined with a passion for one’s work
Good English skills, knowledge of German
