About the Role:

As a Senior Back-End Engineer at our client's dynamic startup, you will play a pivotal role in driving product innovation and excellence. We are seeking experienced individuals who are passionate about tackling complex challenges and delivering exceptional user experiences. Leveraging your expertise in Java, Java Springboot, TypeScript and Golang (or another oriented programming language). You'll lead the features and mentoring of juniors and future back-end hires at this remote software startup.

• You thrive in a collaborative environment, taking ownership of customer-facing features from conception to deployment while prioritizing usability and aesthetics.
• Effective communication and teamwork are integral to your approach, as you actively engage with team members and customers to gather feedback and iterate on solutions.
• With over 7 years of Back-end development experience, you possess strong fundamentals in Java and Java Springboot.
• Experience with Golang and Typescript is a plus
• You excel in fast-paced environments, embracing flexibility and hard work as essential qualities for success in a startup setting.
• Your commitment to code quality is unwavering, demonstrated by your proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Previous experience in mentoring junior developers or leading small teams, as well as a track record of fostering remote team culture, will be highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain new user-facing features using Springboot
• Debug and support end clients looking into the code of the client's API in Java
• Contribute to new and existing products by shaping features with product and design teams.
• Build monitoring services for our customer’s infrastructure and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Digital Ocean, etc)
• Design and develop event-driven microservices
• Mentor and develop junior engineers to help them become expert Secfixers
• Learn new technologies to improve the product and will structure complex product in simple deliverables
• Redefine best-in-class software development processes so that we can build an opinionated product for the European SMB market.
• Work closely with founders, tech lead, other team members, and users to ship features on schedule

Tech Stack:

• Java Springboot, Node Nest.js, Postgres, and RDS as backend
• Hosted on AWS with ECS, EKS
• Design system with Bootstrap Angular component library
