Lounge by Zalando is an online shopping club for fashion and lifestyle products. We offer our members daily, time-limited sale campaigns with discounts of up to 75% off the recommended retail price. We aim to connect with millions of members across 17 European markets, inviting them to engage in an exciting treasure hunt.
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to building and enhancing our B2C CRM Tech Platform. Your work will include developing and maintaining the CRM back-end architecture, ensuring code quality, and supporting the implementation of automated processes to reduce the CRM team's manual workload.

- Embrace a startup mindset and thrive in a diverse team with members across various roles.
- Collaborate closely with our Principal Software Engineer, team members, and stakeholders, actively seeking and giving feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, deploy, operate, and enhance scalable software solutions that directly support the CRM team's daily business operations.
- Participate in code reviews, adhere to best practices, and use feedback to grow your skills.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, simplifying complex technical topics to aid decision-making.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
- You have experience in Java (experience in Kotlin is a plus).
- You understand microservice architecture and REST services, and have expertise in deploying and managing applications in cloud-based infrastructures (preferably AWS).
- You possess strong computer science fundamentals, with a broad interest in integrating third-party solutions with in-house developments and solving real-world challenges. Bonus Experience with direct communication channels such as email, push notifications, in-app messaging, or SMS.
- You have worked in diverse environments and have excellent English communication skills.
