About the project:
The OAM (Operations & Maintenance) project is located in the Packet Core part of EPC modern telco architecture. It implements most of the functionalities of P-GW and S-GW from older standards and SMF from newer ones. It contains multiple features from variety of standards starting from LTE to 5G and on. OAM is deployed as a part of virtualized EPG node as well as standalone EPG node, but most of the time we deal with embedded standalone version. The OAM functionality and interface can be described, with some simplifications, as similar to CISCO network monitoring and configuring devices. The project itself is mature and well-designed with good range of test coverage and handy testing environment. We cooperate on daily bases with teams responsible for other network nodes which OAM communicates with or uses as an interface.
Mandatory competences
- Good programming skills in C++
- Knowledge of IP Networks
- Experience with customer support
- Good spoken and written English
- Build systems (cmake, gnu make, git, gerrit)
- Development on Linux
Nice to have competences
- Knowledge of Mobile Network/Core Network knowledge
- Python, Perl - basics
- TTCN testing framework
- Knowledge of L2/L3, Routing, 3GPP
- Knowledge of protocols TCP/IP, HTTP, UDP, L2TP, TLS
- Agile ways of working (Scrum, XP, etc.)
