PROFILE: Storage Architect & Support Engineer
Project information / tasks:
Responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of data storage solutions.
Develop and design storage solutions that align with the organization’s data management strategy and business needs.
Create and document architecture for storage systems, including SAN, NAS, DAS, cloud storage, and object storage solutions.
Ensure that storage architectures are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.
Lead the implementation of storage solutions, including hardware installation, configuration, and integration with existing systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy storage systems in line with IT infrastructure requirements.
Oversee the migration of data to new storage systems, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
Design and implement disaster recovery solutions and strategies for storage systems.
Provide Level 3 technical support for storage-related issues, working with IT support teams to resolve complex problems.
Analyze and resolve storage performance issues, implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Communicate storage architecture and strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Necessary
MUST HAVE:
Strong knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS, cloud storage, object storage, etc.).
Experience with storage virtualization, backup and recovery solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
Familiarity with data management best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in storage management tools and software (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Hitachi, VMware vSAN, AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Technical Presentations, POC, Demos
Handson experience integration., sustenance of Storage technologies like iSCSI, FCoE, SAN, NAS, DAS
Cloud : AWZ, GCP, VMware, Kubernetes, Containerization, K8, Web Architecture
NICE TO HAVE:
Certifications in relevant storage technologies (e.g., NetApp Certified Data Administrator, Dell EMC Proven Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Experience with cloud-based storage solutions and hybrid cloud environments.
Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for storage management.
