Our client is a global Blockchain research and development organisation that has a presence all around the world in multiple countries, but operates on a fully remote working model. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now looking for a Technical Program Manager to join them on a contract-to-perm basis.
The role will initially be a 6-month contract, paid on a daily contract basis, but the long-term plan is for the client to take on the successful candidate on a permanent basis after 6 months, subject to performance etc, at which stage it will change to an annual salary.
As the Technical Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strategically planning, executing, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact technical programs, thereby significantly contributing to the advancement of our blockchain technology. If you are a dynamic, results-driven leader with a robust track record in managing and overseeing complex technical programs, this position offers an exciting opportunity. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will take ownership of a comprehensive portfolio of strategic programs and drive cross-functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive program roadmaps, detailing timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee and manage multiple, complex technical programs, including risk management, coordination of major releases, and engagement with third-party stakeholders.
- Drive collaboration across agile, cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with ongoing and future development initiatives.
- Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and senior engineering leads to align program objectives with overarching business goals and strategic priorities.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration, particularly with Marketing and other critical departments, to incorporate their requirements into program planning and execution.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of potential program risks.
- Utilize advanced systems, tools, and techniques to measure and optimize program performance, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.
- Proactively report on program progress, performance, and issues, providing timely escalations and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive program documentation, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and alignment with best practices.
Who you are:
- At least 10 years experience, preferably 15+ in Technical Program Manager roles.
- Software house experience is a distinct advantage.
- Must be technically inclined. Ideally you will be a former engineer/ developer.
- Blockchain technology experience is an advantage.
- Experience with: Rest API’s, Typrescript, Java & Github queries, dashboard creation, Hubspot & Salesforce.
- Experience with cutting-edge work,
- Change management experience, not scared of quick pivots and lots of change.
- Cryptography experience/ industry experience a huge plus.
