Our client, eu-LISA, is currently recruiting for an Information Technology Officer - Solutions Operations and Maintenance, based in Strasbourg, France. This is a full-time, onsite role.

About the job

You will join the Solutions Operations and Maintenance Sector (SOMS) within the Operations Unit. The team provides 24/7 operational support for critical Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) systems, ensuring they meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs). SOMS oversees incident response, capacity planning, system performance, and contributes to release and change management.

As an Information Technology Officer, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of systems like SIS, EURODAC, and VIS/BMS, working closely with internal and external teams to meet SLAs. The role requires on-site presence, stand-by duty, and occasional shift work in a 24/7/365 environment.

Your tasks will include:

• Providing second-line support for eu-LISA business applications, including investigating and resolving incidents, problems, and service requests.
• Ensuring systems meet SLAs, proposing and implementing proactive measures to maintain performance.
• Maintaining and enhancing applications, integrating new technical functions where necessary.
• Documenting systems and changes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Contributing to reporting on system functionality and managing databases.
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external contractors to resolve technical issues.

The technical stack includes:

• Databases (Oracle DB 11-19, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, ElasticSearch)
• Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, WebLogic)
• Microservices hosting platforms (OCP, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Unix/Linux environments with shell scripting

You would need to have:

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT operations, ideally within a high-availability environment.
• A university degree (minimum 3 years) in IT, engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent English skills (at least C1 level), both oral and written.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and/or ITSM tools.
• Familiarity with infrastructure technologies like databases, messaging systems, and microservices hosting platforms.

Desirable skills include:

• Knowledge of financial and contractual aspects of IT maintenance.
• Experience with vendor management and service contracts.
  

What eu-LISA offers:

• basic salary adjusted by a current 117% correction coefficient for Strasbourg, France, resulting in the following monthly basic incomes:
• €4,799.69 (5 years of experience)
• €5,430.61 (5 – 17 years of experience) 
• €6,952.09 (more than 17 years of experience)
