Currently, we are looking for a 2nd Line Support Specialist with Linux to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining our Linux-based systems and workstations. You will collaborate with our IT team to provide technical support, assist users, and ensure our systems run securely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing support for software and hardware issues related to Linux and also in Windows systems
  • Troubleshooting and resolving advanced technical issues for Linux-based systems
  • Manage and maintain Linux workstations, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and running efficiently
  • Assist users with Linux-related issues, including installation, configuration, and usage
  • Respond to user inquiries and requests, resolving technical issues and providing guidance on system usage
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Work with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and implement new technologies
  • Participating in IT projects to ensure smooth implementation and minimal disruption


Your Background

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, with a strong focus on Linux systems
  • Proficiency in Linux administration, including knowledge of various distributions
  • Familiarity with scripting languages
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Excellent communication skills to assist users and document processes effectively
  • Routine Windows troubleshooting skills, including:

- Resolving common issues like software installation problems, system crashes, network connectivity issues

- Managing user accounts and permissions

- Performing system updates and patches



Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Active Directory/FreeIPA LDAP
  • Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible, Puppet
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and processes, such as incident management, change management, and service request management
