Join our team as a Network Engineer (Full Remote – Portugal)!
What You'll Do:
- Assure network availability and quality, collaborating with internal teams to perform repair actions.
- Take end-to-end ownership of projects, covering design, implementation, and operations.
- Monitor networks and associated systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Perform daily performance and root cause analyses to improve system reliability.
- Participate in the lifecycle management of systems’ software and hardware.
- Utilize existing tenant provisioning tools to support network operations.
- Enhance automation processes for provisioning, alarming, and lifecycle activities.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in network engineering roles.
- Strong expertise with at least two platforms: Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus, F5, Checkpoint, Gigamon.
- Proficiency in scripting (preferably Python) for network automation.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code principles, with experience using tools like Ansible and/or Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, including automated testing and version control.
- Experience with programmable network equipment interfaces (e.g., RESTful APIs, NETCONF/YANG).
- Experience with modern monitoring solutions (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Splunk).
- Previous work experience in a large Telecom or Internet Service Provider environment.
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Operation principles.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
