Quality Assurance/Business Analyst in CYPRUS

Job Title: QA/BA Specialist (Experience in both is mandatory)

Type: Full-time (Remote)

Salary: From $1,500 to $2,500/month

We are looking for a skilled and dynamic QA/BA Specialist to join our team remotely. In this dual-role position, you will spend approximately 20-30% of your time on QA tasks, ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. The remaining 70-80% of your responsibilities will focus on Business Analysis (BA) activities, gathering requirements, and acting as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team. In some cases it could be visa versa. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in both Quality Assurance and Business Analysis who enjoys balancing these complementary functions.

• Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business and technical requirements for projects.
• Process Documentation: Create detailed business process models, workflows, and use cases to guide the development team.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Solution Design: Participate in solution design discussions to ensure the requirements are feasible and align with business goals.
• Data Analysis: Interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends and insights for better decision-making.
• User Story Creation: Define and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization for agile development teams.
• Project Support: Provide ongoing project support, ensuring smooth implementation of system features and business processes.

• Test Planning & Execution: Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, test plans, and scripts to validate software functionality.
• Defect Management: Identify, log, and track bugs or issues in the system and collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Regression Testing: Perform regular regression testing to ensure that updates or new features don’t negatively impact the existing functionality.
• Quality Standards: Ensure that all deliverables meet the company’s quality standards and compliance requirements.

• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of combined experience in both Business Analysis and Quality Assurance roles.
• Proven experience working in agile or hybrid project management environments.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, or similar).
• Experience in writing clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to manage time effectively while balancing multiple tasks.

• Familiarity with both functional and non-functional testing.
• Experience in process improvement or reengineering.
• Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and analysis.
