Our team is largely led by passionate volunteers and contributors from across the industry, looking to share their knowledge with the world. 

 

Our mission to change how travel is seen involves showing people how to make their journeys as fulfilling as possible through providing the latest news and how to improve journey quality. 

 

Travel Radar is growing; We are looking for an IT Manager to join our growing Digital and IT Team. In this role, you can expect excellent training, support and opportunities to get stuck in, including the option to obtain a CPD Level 3, 5 or 7 Diploma in IT Operations.  

 

Responsibilities and A Little More About the Role: 

  • Ownership over our internal IT Helpdesk including monitoring tickets, escalations and reporting on SLAs and KPIs 
  • Maintaining Office365 Enterprise Suite including security, user management, usage reporting, and optimisation 
  • Overseeing web infrastructure including website updates, database management and optimisation/development 
  • LEMP stack management including server audits, security monitoring and optimisation 
  • Overseeing IT Team, each member an expert in a corresponding field, and line managing this team 
  • Adhoc IT duties as required 
  •  

 

Who We're Looking For: 

  • Passion for IT, Systems, Servers or Development 
  • Past experience in a supervisory, leadership or management role 
  • Excellent communication skills – especially in a remote environment 
  • Interest to learn and develop own skills 
  • Proficiency/expertise in one area of IT: LEMP/Linux, Web Development, Backend Development or Office365/Administration, and a willingness to learn about other non-expert areas 
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Additional Information 

Commitment per Week: 5-10hrs 

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer/Assistant Chief Operating Officer
