Your future contribution:
We're forming a new team: Channels and Connectivity
This team's mission is to deliver one of our core promises to Hosts: maximizing occupancy for their vacation rental properties. To achieve this, we're focused on connecting even more partner channels (think Booking.com or AirBnB) to our Vacation Rental Management platform and enhancing our existing connections. We aim to make Smoobu the one place Hosts need to create an attractive offer to guests across all platforms.
As a Front-End Engineer in this team, you will tackle challenges such as:
Building a central place for Hosts to set and update features, descriptions, and photos of their vacation rentals
Evolving our new Website Builder to empower Hosts to create their own personalized sites for their properties
Collaborating with fellow Front-Enders across Smoobu to ensure a consistently seamless and hassle-free experience for Hosts managing their properties and connections
How you'll add value:
Collaborating closely with stakeholders to refine requirements, breaking work into clear milestones, identifying potential blockers
Writing clean, high-quality, maintainable code
Conducting code reviews and engaging in pair programming with fellow engineers to share knowledge and develop new skills
Implementing and improving our Testing Strategy through Unit, Integration, and Functional testing
You'll be successful in this role if you:
Have 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development
Possess excellent JavaScript knowledge with the ability to mentor junior engineers on standards, best practices, and patterns
Bring enterprise-level experience with React or TypeScript
Are comfortable extending existing PHP User Interfaces
Have experience in building large-scale single-page applications
Aren't afraid to ask questions and bring your own opinions which you're comfortable sharing with other highly skilled engineers
Are fluent in English
