Job Title: Systems Administrator

Forte Connect is hiring a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator on behalf of our Canadian client. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, managing and maintaining IT systems to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues, providing timely solutions.
• Perform system backups, updates, and security protocols to safeguard data.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Collaborate with the development and operations teams to implement system enhancements.
• Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Requirements:
• At least 3 years experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Windows/Linux systems, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and security tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation.
• Professional level English proficiency is required in order to effectively communicate with the team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with remote teams effectively.
Assets:
• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with compliance and data protection regulations.
• Certification in systems administration (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft, Red Hat).
