If you answered yes to the question, we invite you to seize the opportunity to make a significant impact as a Mission Planning Systems Engineer. We are seeking dynamic and experienced individuals to support and maintain the Mission Planning System in Gilching, Germany.

Security

In line with security requirements for the concerned missions of this position, the candidate has to hold a European citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work the company is in, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference and identity checks.

What You´ll Do

  • Test the Mission Planning Ssystem components against the original requirements in order to determine if the system is able to support the mission.
  • Maintenance of the missions:
    • Classify and archive in an organized way all files generated
    • Monitor the correct functioning of the scheduling for the next planning run
    • Inform efficiently other subsystems about the status and evolution of future and past contacts
    • Monitor and prevent anomalies in the MPS
    • React to contingencies of the MPS
    • Update and install new software and components in the MPS environment
    • Update the documentation and procedures related with the previous points
    • Coordinate with other subsystems while performing global activities
  • Support On-call service
  • LEOP Support:
    • Before the LEOP: participation in training and simulation programs
    • During LEOP: update of the Sequence of Events (SoE), setup of the Timon Web and support MOS in case of SoE updates
What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Aerospace engineering or in a similar subject
  • Experience in defining, verifying, and validating (contingency) procedures related to operations
  • Basic knowledge of operation of spacecraft control systems, Operations preparation and routine operations of LEO satellite systems
  • Fluent in English, both in speech and writing
