Product Owner - Merchant Experience
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Remote, within the United Kingdom.
Working Hours: 35 per week, including an early finish on a Friday!

Role Purpose
As a Product Owner, you will help build a new merchant experience for our international marketplace business. This is an exciting time to join Fruugo as we continue our journey to become a leading marketplace for cross-border trade. Merchants are critical to our success and the merchant experience programme you'll be part of is central to our future goals and ambitions. You'll be working at the intersection of users, business, and technology with plenty of scope for innovation and fresh thinking.
Core Accountabilities
- Product Vision, develop and articulate a clear product vision that inspires and motivates the team
- Product Strategy: develop and articulate a clear product strategy to enable your vision to become a reality
- OKRs: Use objectives and key results to ensure the delivery of your strategy, creating and maintaining the structure for your teams
- Data Led: Put data front and center in all you do and develop product KPIs to enable your team and the business. To drive improvement, optimisation and to be an integral part of your product strategy
- Shared understanding: using facilitated workshops to build shared understanding across teams, stakeholders and engineering to ensure successful outcomes
- Agile Process: be a facilitator and a cheerleader for the Agile process within your team
- Product Ownership: adhere to the accountabilities of the Scrum product owner role
- Product backlog: use the expression of value to shape your epics and stories
Requirements
Experience Required
- A minimum of 3 years in a similar Product Ownership role, if you have experience of e-commerce marketplace or B2B E-commerce then even better!
- Desirable is experience with merchant onboarding and integration processes
- Knowledge of and preferably experience in objectives and key results (OKRs)
- Outcomes, experience with communicating the needs of the business as outcomes
- Experience with user story mapping process
- Used the INVEST framework in the construction of product backlog items
- Strong analysis and modelling skills across business, systems and data.
Skills
- A great communicator in all forms, it's a bonus if you can speak Mandarin
- A great facilitator, able to discover and discover stakeholders' desired outcomes
- A detail-orientated problem-solver, using data and real feedback to inform
- Able to work independently, delivering on promises
- Great organisational skills, able to juggle multiple initiatives at once
- Able to hold your own in a discussion with technical engineering teams
- Self-sufficient with a keenness to drive the delivery of quality solutions
- High standards of ethics and integrity
