We are seeking a talented Security Specialist (Zero Trust & WAF) willing to relocate to or currently located in Zoeterwoude, the Netherlands.


Overview:

This role is integral to driving the company’s internal digital transformation by evolving the adoption of Zero Trust strategies and implementing Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions across various platforms and products. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in security management, technical expertise in Zero Trust and WAF technologies, and a proactive approach to ensuring the highest level of application and network security.


Key Responsibilities:

  • WAF Management: Configure, deploy, and manage enterprise-wide Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions to protect applications and services.
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA): Configure and deploy ZTNA platforms in on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring alignment with Zero Trust principles.
  • Policy Development: Define and enforce access control policies based on user identity, device posture, and context.
  • Security Integration: Integrate ZTNA solutions with existing security technologies, including Identity, Credentialing, and Access Management (ICAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and endpoint security tools.
  • Micro-Segmentation: Configure, deploy, and manage micro-segmentation solutions, ensuring integration with tools like SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response).
  • Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct regular network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in ZTNA and WAF controls.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all implementations meet industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Incident Response: Investigate and propose procedures for resolving complex security incidents, collaborating with senior security specialists.
  • Operational Support: Assist operational teams in maintaining security infrastructure, including intrusion detection, remote access security, email/web security, anti-malware, and WAF systems.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in network security, with a focus on network security engineering and architecture.
  • Extensive experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
  • Expertise in ZTNA, SASE, CASB, SWG, and DLP solutions.
  • Familiarity with ICAM, MFA, endpoint security, and SIEM solutions.
  • Experience conducting security assessments, risk analyses, and developing security concepts.
  • Experience working in distributed and cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
  • Proven ability to design and implement network security strategies aligned with Zero Trust principles.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or GIAC are highly desirable.
