JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Corporate IT & Security is a key member of the IT Leadership team. Primary responsibilities include the development of the overall vision, integrated strategy, analysis, architectural design, and purposeful execution across Corporate IT infrastructure and security functions. This includes cloud, virtualization, storage, end-user computing, enterprise tools, communications, messaging, networks, and security operations. Through a consulting relationship with key business clients, this person will proactively deliver high-quality, innovative, fully architected, strategic solutions aligned with clear business requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the design, delivery, operations, and support of IT infrastructure
- Provide senior-level technical expertise and leadership in the areas of IT architecture, design, support, and service delivery.
- Analyze IT infrastructure needs and lead the design and implementation of new system architectures.
- Manage IT Operations staff and Network security staff and contractors to ensure streamlined and optimized business processes.
- Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging security tools, trends, policies, best practices, techniques, and technologies.
- Proven experience in best practices for cloud architecture and security.
- Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communication technologies.
- Develop and review budgets for the IT department and ensure compliance with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives.
- Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of hardware and software based on department needs.
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Direct research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts.
SECURITY FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the auditing of the environment for security and compliance with industry standards such as PCI and cybersecurity regulations.
- Evaluate and implement security solutions to ensure the protection of organizational data and systems.
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
- Stay informed on the latest security threats and develop strategies to protect the organization.
- Oversee incident response planning and the investigation of security breaches.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
- Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
- Oversee the negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- May perform other duties as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with public/private cloud models (AWS / Azure).
- 5+ years working with Microsoft’s Cloud Suite: Azure, Office 365, Teams, InTune, etc.
- Familiarity with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI),
- Experience managing and configuring servers, firewalls, networks.
- Experience building and managing a Disaster Recovery (DR) Infrastructure.
- Strong security background with the ability to monitor and mitigate the latest threats and discuss the organization’s security posture in detail with customers, partners, and relevant third parties.
- Proven experience with PCI compliance and cybersecurity regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science\Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of total IT experience
- Progressive hands-on technical experience in IT infrastructure – architecture, systems administration, routing / switching, network design, database systems, virtualization, storage area networks, etc.
- Experience in supporting enterprise applications in a high availability environment
- Background and understanding of ITIL Service management
- Demonstrates strong leadership and management skills as evidenced by prior management of a team for 3-5 years
- 10+ years of Infrastructure and Security experience, 3-5 at a senior level
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Onsite at our Charlotte, NC office.
Relocation Assistance available. Ability to relocate within 3 months from the offer acceptance date.
Typical office environment Mon-Fr during the hours of 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
