Role Description
We are looking for a talented Full Stack Developer to help build this platform from the ground up and join a team dedicated to solving real-world challenges through technology.
Key Details:
- Equity-Based Role: This is primarily an equity position until we become revenue-generating, though equity + salary is negotiable for the right candidate. Post-revenue, compensation will include equity and a salary once revenue milestones are reached.
- Start Date: Immediate, with an initial part-time commitment (minimum 50%) for the first 6-9 months.
- Launch Date: Expected platform launch in Q3/Q4 of year 1, with post-revenue status Q4 of year 1.
- Flexibility: Ideal for a candidate looking to complement an existing role or practice.
- Location: Fully remote (UK-based but open to international candidates).
- Hours: Flexible and negotiable based on availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mobile Development: Develop applications for iOS/Android using a cross-platform framework such as React Native. Manage deployment to mobile app stores.
- Full Stack Development: Design and implement both front-end (React) and back-end components (Node.js, Python, or Java), ensuring seamless interaction with APIs and platform services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a team of developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience across platforms.
- Agile Development: Participate in agile development practices, including sprints, daily stand-ups, and iterative feedback loops to quickly adapt to evolving product requirements.
- Security: Implement robust security protocols for APIs, including OAuth2, JWT, and encryption techniques to protect user data and transactions.
- Optimisation: Monitor application and API performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance optimizations to ensure scalability.
- Documentation: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, along with creating detailed API documentation for external developers.
- Testing and Debugging: Develop automated test cases and work with QA teams to ensure platform stability and performance.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in the mobility, parking, or transportation industries.
- Knowledge of UK mobility regulations or experience working with international standards.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deployment and scalability.
- Exposure to DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Blockchain or AI knowledge as applied to mobility services.
