Senior Java Developer (relocation to Belgium)

We are seeking a talented Senior Java Developer willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java-based applications.
• Technical Leadership: Take the lead in removing technical debt, defining the roadmap for application evolution, and ensuring solutions focus on customer value.
• Problem-Solving: Identify, debug, and resolve complex technical issues to ensure seamless software performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with multi-disciplinary Scrum teams to gather and refine requirements and align development with business objectives.
• Code Quality: Uphold best practices in code quality, organization, and automation, leveraging tools like SonarQube and Fortify.
• Continuous Improvement: Embrace clean code principles and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies such as Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in API development, RESTful APIs, Swagger, JUnit, Cucumber, Oracle, PLSQL, Spring (Spring MVC, Spring Boot), Maven, and Docker. Secure coding practices are a must.
• Bonus Skills: Knowledge of React.js and familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Tools Mastery: Proficiency in GitLab, Jenkins, IntelliJ, NexusIQ, and CI/CD processes.
• Communication Skills: Strong command of English (knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus).
• Problem Solver: A pragmatic, proactive, and results-oriented individual who thrives in complex environments.
• Team Player: Excellent at promoting collaboration and managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
