Are you passionate about designing impactful learning experiences and using innovative technologies to help teams thrive? If so, Viva is seeking a Corporate Trainer/Instructional Designer to join our People Team!
In this role, you’ll design, update, and deliver training programs using Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to build essential skills for our team. Reporting to the Head of People, you’ll also lead the way in using AI-assisted instructional design to create engaging, async learning experiences.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a driver mindset skilled in instructional design and facilitation under the PBL approach. Experience working with AI tools and prompt engineering for instructional design is crucial for success in this role.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and Update Curriculum: Create and revise learning materials, including playbooks, facilitator guides, and rubrics using PBL methodologies.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with the Head of People, Learning & Development team, Customer Success Managers, and other teams to ensure training aligns with our business goals.
- Lead Learning Experiences: Deliver live coaching sessions to small groups while overseeing asynchronous learning resources.
- Leverage AI Tools: Use AI-assisted techniques and prompt engineering to enhance and optimize training programs.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Use data to make informed recommendations for improving instructional design and training effectiveness.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fluent in English: C1 proficiency with the ability to communicate clearly in a low-context culture.
- Experience in Instructional Design & Facilitation: Background in PBL methodology is essential.
- 2+ Years of Relevant Experience: Proven experience in similar roles, regardless of job title.
- Skilled in AI-Assisted Work: Comfortable with prompt engineering for instructional design.
- Strong People Skills: Excellent facilitation, coaching, and relational intelligence with leadership abilities.
- Preferred Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Psychology, or Education is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in TaaS or SaaS, particularly in designing learning experiences for Executive Assistant (EA) Universities is preferred but not required.
