About you
We believe in being kind, generous and honest as well as hardworking and passionate. Tiny Lagoon Studios is open to hearing from professionals returning to work. If you’ve had a little time out with your family or taken a career break, we’re happy to consider you if you have the right skills.
We are looking for someone with the right cultural fit as much as the skills required for the role. Whilst the core function of the role will require the individual to have top-notch digital skills, we are happy to consider up-skilling the right individual in any rusty areas. We are very much looking to hire for ‘will’ as much as ‘skill’ if the individual has the right attitude for joining our close-knit team.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with extremely well-known clients where you will be collaborating with other members of a global team and reporting to our Managing Director.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Social Media Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our core gaming clients. You will manage social media channels and blogs for well-known gaming brands, as well as other entertainment clients, and our own company social platforms. This role is focused on ensuring seamless execution and scheduling, while also supporting the MD and CEO with operational tasks related to new business. Your role is primarily operational, focusing on the coordination, execution, and management of client social media activities. The ideal candidate will excel in scheduling, monitoring, reporting, and ensuring all processes run efficiently, supporting the wider team and leadership.
As our Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for carefully maintaining large-scale online channels. This will involve a blend of scheduling posts and sending content out in real-time, as well as creating meaningful content for clients and Tiny Lagoon social media. Most content will be pre-planned, however the occasional turnaround time due to embargoed content will require the candidate to self-sufficiently deliver client work. This means you need to be comfortable preparing and publishing ‘hot’ content within short turnaround times. So it’s really important you are able to remain calm under pressure.
Our role requires a passion for social media, a strong eye for proofreading, and the ability to roll up your sleeves. It is the perfect opportunity for a talented marketer with a love for gaming or entertainment, who embodies Tiny Lagoon’s values of work hard, play harder.
Responsibilities
Social media publishing
Publish and schedule client-approved copy and assets on platforms such as X, Meta, Instagram, and Khoros, while ensuring all assets adhere to the appropriate guidelines (e.g., PEGI ratings) before publication and ensure accuracy and timeliness. You will also be required to co-ordinate internal and external meetings related to client and internal work.
Blog publishing
Compile and publish client blog posts on client CMS systems (predominantly WordPress). A basic understanding of coding would be beneficial, but isn’t essential. You will be managing content calendars, ensuring alignment with other global teams. It is paramount that you follow compliance with platform policies and brand guidelines for all content.
Copywriting and proofreading
Serve as a second pair of eyes for the client, reviewing and refining content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and suitability for the target market. Excellent written and grammar skills are essential.
Virtual event coverage
Support a global team with live blogging and social media publishing during virtual events, which include product and feature announcements and occur late evenings every 2-3 months.
Client management
Maintain ongoing communication with the client throughout the day while effectively managing your workload. Client workload is determined by a shared content calendar.
New business development
Support the Managing Director and CEO with overall new business activities and pitches, as well as maintain client relationships to the highest standard.
