Job Title: Information Technology Asset Manager

Location: 100% Remote (Candidate must reside in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex)

Employment Type: Full-Time


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Information Technology Asset Manager to join our dynamic IT team. The IT Asset Manager will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the lifecycle of all corporate IT assets, including hardware, software, and software licenses. This position will be responsible for researching, implementing, and integrating all corporate assets into the ServiceNow Asset Management Module, with a focus on ensuring efficient asset tracking and compliance across the organization. The ideal candidate will have proven experience building an Asset Management function from the ground up, with specific hands-on technical experience with the implementation of HAM and SAM and expertise in configuring and administering ServiceNow Asset Management.


This role offers the opportunity to work 100% remotely, but candidates must reside within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to align with our company's requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, retirement, and disposal, ensuring all assets are tracked and reported accurately.
  • ServiceNow Integration: Lead the research, planning, and implementation of integrating all hardware, software, and software licensing into the ServiceNow Asset Management Module, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and processes.
  • Configuration & Administration: Configure and maintain the ServiceNow Asset Management Module, ensuring proper setup of asset categories, workflows, and reporting. Provide ongoing administration and troubleshooting for asset management functionality within ServiceNow.
  • Compliance & Governance: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and industry standards regarding asset management, licensing, and audits.
  • Collaboration with Finance: Partner with the Finance and Procurement teams to ensure seamless asset tracking and financial reconciliation of IT assets, including depreciation, costs, and licensing terms.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards within ServiceNow to provide real-time visibility into asset inventory, financial status, and lifecycle stages.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization related to IT asset management. Stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in IT asset management and ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Post-Acquisition Integration: Support the integration of IT assets from newly acquired companies, ensuring smooth alignment into the existing asset management framework.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, with a proven track record of configuring and administering ServiceNow Asset Management.
  • ServiceNow Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with configuring, implementing, and maintaining the ServiceNow Asset Management module. ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified System Administrator) are a plus.
  • Building Asset Management Programs: Experience building and scaling IT asset management programs from scratch, particularly in growing organizations or post-acquisition environments.
  • Software & Hardware Lifecycle Management: In-depth knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management, including hardware and software procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Finance Collaboration: Prior experience working with Finance or Procurement teams to reconcile asset values, manage licenses, and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze asset data, prepare reports, and provide insights to senior leadership.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and levels of the organization.


Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a company that has grown through acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and asset management frameworks.
  • ServiceNow certification(s) such as Certified Application Developer or Certified Implementation Specialist.
  • Experience with software license management and optimization (e.g., true-up, renewals, audits).
