Senior Android Kotlin Developer (Remote - EU Based)
AREO, founded in January 2023, is a young software startup that specialises in the development of innovative solutions for supermarkets and grocery retail stores. Our groundbreaking B2B SaaS platform optimizes workflows for employees by providing real-time access to inventory, product information, and customer inquiries. We cater to large supermarket chains in Germany and across the EU.
We are currently seeking a Senior Android Developer who is not just proficient in writing beautiful, well-documented, and easily legible code, but also places great value on thorough testing.

Responsibilities:
1. Write high-quality, well-documented, easily legible, and thoroughly tested code.
2. Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications, with a focus on AR capabilities.
3. Contribute to the ideation and execution of new features to keep our platform at the cutting edge.
4. Collaborate with our CTO / CEO on our roadmap, delivering on time and to spec.
Key Qualifications:
1. Located within the European Union.
2. At least 8 years of Android development experience – you're a seasoned pro!
3. Fluency in English; proficiency in German highly desirable.
4. Extensive experience with typical developer tools like Git, GitHub, Postgres, Realm, Redis, Bash etc..
5. Proven experience in early-stage startups, preferably in a leadership role.
6. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
7. Expertise with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services (experience with OpenAPI is a huge plus).
8. Comfortable working with remote teams and managing tasks across different time zones.
