Senior DBA Administrator (relocation to Belgium) in PORTUGAL

We are seeking a talented Senior Database Administrator (DBA) willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.

As a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) within our TechOps team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the high performance, reliability, and availability of our database systems. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing a variety of databases, troubleshooting performance issues, and proactively addressing alerts to keep systems running smoothly. Your expertise in Windows Server, RHEL, Oracle, and MS SQL will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and administration of MS SQL, Oracle, and other databases.
• Analyze and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot performance problems and implement improvements to enhance database efficiency.
• Conduct daily monitoring and health checks, responding to PRTG/Splunk alerts and ensuring successful execution of backup jobs.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency with Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
• Experience with RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
• Strong expertise in Oracle databases.
• Solid understanding and experience with MS SQL databases.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with additional databases like MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in database administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
