We are seeking a talented Resilience /IT Continuity Engineer who is willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.


Job Description:

If so, we are looking for a Resilience/IT Continuity Engineer to join our IT Production Security department. In this role, you'll contribute to innovations that positively impact millions of clients, ensuring our IT systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with regulatory standards.


As part of the team within our Agile organization, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver best-in-class security and resilience capabilities. This is an opportunity to play a crucial role in validating the resilience of our services and solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure IT Reactivity: Manage and oversee activities ensuring the organization’s ability to respond to critical application or datacenter failures.
  • Document Management: Collaborate with application owners to deliver and validate critical documentation, including Application Impact Analysis (AIA), Continuity Run Books (CRB), and Disaster Recovery (DR) Unitary Exercise deliverables. Address any gaps in these processes.
  • Primary Resiliency Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for various tribes on all resiliency-related topics.
  • Regular Follow-ups: Conduct regular check-ins with Tribe Continuity contacts to track infrastructure and application changes affecting resiliency deliverables, as well as progress on AIA, CRB, and DR exercises.
  • Disaster Recovery Exercises:
  • Validate CRBs and infrastructure readiness.
  • Conduct capacity studies for infrastructure components across datacenters.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare and collect essential data.
  • Plan and execute DR exercises, identifying risks and preparing mitigation strategies.
  • Build and manage the Master Run Book (MRB) consolidating all actions from CRBs.
  • Facilitate DR exercises, often during nights and weekends (approximately three times a year).


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and take ownership of decisions.


Technical Expertise:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Resilience Engineer, Security Engineer, OPS Engineer, or Architect.
  • Strong understanding or interest in resiliency domains and the ability to communicate expectations and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in:
  • Technology landscapes
  • Stakeholder management
  • Architectural and technical diagrams, including validation for resiliency considerations
  • Process and procedure development and adherence
  • Bonus experience in one or more domains:
  • Windows or Linux
  • Mainframe systems
  • Cloud platforms
  • Application development and databases
  • Fluency in English is required.
