What You’ll Do
- Lead a team of backend engineers to deliver innovative services and data solutions for our customers.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that prioritizes quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Guide your team in making informed decisions, promoting autonomy, and encouraging self-sufficiency.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for your team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and offer constructive feedback to support your team's growth.
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering on hiring, capacity planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Proven experience as a software engineer with expertise in Java, Kotlin, or GoLang.
- Successful track record of managing at least one engineering team in an agile environment (3-6 engineers).
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives to completion.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented architectures and their implementation.
- Excellent communication, listening, and empathy skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively and leverage data-driven insights.
- Creative problem-solving skills and having a passion for innovation.
- Humble leadership style that inspires and motivates teams to achieve their best.
