Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) - Remote from Portugal in PORTUGAL

As a Senior Mobile React Native Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining mobile applications using React Native.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to deliver high quality and engaging user experiences. Additionally, you will contribute to architectural decisions, implement best practices, and support the growth of the team by mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native
• Collaborate with mobile lead, product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define app features and requirements
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Maintain high standards of code quality, organization, and automation
• Mentor junior & mid level engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our apps are cutting-edge
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Implement security measures in the mobile applications

What we need from you:

• Proven experience as a Mobile Engineer, with a focus on React Native development
• Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Strong proficiency in React / JavaScript and familiarity with TypeScript
• Solid understanding of mobile development frameworks and best practices
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with RESTful & GraphQL APIs for mobile application integration with backend
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Understanding of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token (JWT)
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git

Nice to have:

• Experience with native mobile app development (iOS/Android)
• Familiarity with Expo framework
• Experience mentoring and guiding a team of engineers or developers
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
• Experience with mobile analytics and performance monitoring tools
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices
• Experience with cloud services (AWS) is a plus
