Game Programmer in SINGAPORE

Hello, my name is Matt and I'm the solo creator of Dystopika, a chill cyberpunk city builder.

I am hiring a Game Programmer for a 12-month contract to take over ongoing work on Dystopika's roadmap and initiate some new projects.

Voids Within is creativity-first - there are no aspirations of massive studio growth or VC investment. The dream is a small, passionate, and multidisciplinary team taking calculated risks on unique games. The next two years are about continuing small commercial indie successes like Dystopika to build solid foundational revenue streams to support more ambitious projects.

This is a fully remote position but must be able overlap reasonably with GMT+8 (at least initially). Asia-based candidates are ideal, but not a requirement for the right candidate.

• Lead the creation and implementation of gameplay features for Dystopika from initial concept to final release.
• Prototype and develop new game concepts.
• Collaborate effectively with designers, artists, and other developers in a team environment.
• Play a role in setting up and improving studio workflows: source control, processes, and third-party tools.
• Draft technical design documents and provide accurate task estimations as required.

• Deep Expertise in Unity and C#
• Passion for creating and polishing content beyond interesting just coding challenges.
• Some game design sensibilities to identify and bridge gaps in the design material, refining design ideas into final implementation.
• You're self-driven and take initiative, proactively pushing projects forward.
• Embrace the freedom of working remotely and excel in working independently.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with the team.

• Experience with Zenject or similar dependency injection frameworks
• Console development experience
