Job Description:

 We are seeking talented artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI and deep neural network engineers and scientists to join our dedicated team in helping us to redefine digital patient experiences through ground-breaking technologies. 

As a part of the first group of hires in our artificial intelligence team, you will play a crucial role in our company’s mission to redefine digital patient experiences by leveraging the ground-breaking advances in artificial intelligence from the past two years. 

This position is not just improving the quality of our generative outputs or optimizing models; it’s about setting new standards and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in providing a personalized health experience with machine learning and generative AI. 

As an AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing advanced machine learning algorithms, RAG frameworks, personalized tools and building datasets for LLM models to help improve the quality of life for patients and caregivers everywhere. 

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered features and functionalities for our app.
• Research, prototype, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to analyze diverse datasets, including anonymized personal health data, treatment plans, and clinical research data.
• Utilize natural language processing (NLP) techniques to extract insights from unstructured data sources such as medical notes, symptom management algorithms, patients guides, research papers, and feedback forms.
• Develop and train deep learning models for tasks such as sentiment analysis, personalized advice, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics related to diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.
• Integrate AI capabilities into the app's backend services and frontend user interface to provide real-time insights, recommendations, and decision support to users.
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors, including Cohere, to leverage state-of-the-art AI technologies and enhance the app's capabilities.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of AI systems and models deployed within the app, adhering to best practices and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MS, PhD) preferred.
• 2 – 5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on developing and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in real-world applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in building datasets from scratch for the training of LLMs
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and other AI/ML techniques and algorithms.
• Adept at creating web scraping tools and other digital data gathering methods
• Experience building, optimizing, and implementing RAG frameworks
• Solid understanding of deep learning architectures, model training, hyperparameter tuning, and evaluation methodologies.
• Medical background considered strongly favourable
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Experience working with Cohere or similar AI platforms/tools is a plus.

Important Information: 

The maximum starting salary for this position is 350,000PKR per month. The minimum starting salary is 180,000PKR per month. All employees at all salary levels qualify for vesting equity options after 12 months with the company.  

Please note, at the maximum salary level – we expect you to be bettter than the best of the best. Kindly keep this in mind when submitting your salary expectations. 

 We do not guarantee you will receive this as your salary offer upon hiring. 

There are a total of 4 available positions with varying seniority levels depending on your qualifications. 

This position requires you to be in Lahore, Pakistan or be willing to relocate within 45 days of starting. Relocation packages may be offered contingent of quality of talent. 

The start date for this position is June 1^st, 2024.
