About The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced
AWS DevOps Engineer to join their team remotely in
Canada. This is a
fully remote role, with the candidate having experience worked with mobile apps development companies. Our client is a full-service mobile app development specializing in developing and designing mobile applications for businesses of every shape and size. They have built 3 of the first 100 apps in Apple's store. Since then, the company has developed and launched countless hybrid, native, and web applications for Fortune 1000-class companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient deployment processes.
- Manage container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and scaling.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and implement cloud-based solutions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain security best practices across all cloud environments.
- Optimize cloud costs and resources to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Solid understanding of cloud security practices and monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
