Our client is a luxury high-end jewelry brand renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, innovative designs, and dedication to creating timeless pieces that define modern luxury. With a strong global presence and an esteemed clientele, the brand is seeking an experienced Global Head of Social Media to strategically lead and elevate its global social media presence across key platforms.


Role Overview

As the Global Head of Social Media, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing the brand’s global social media strategy. You will lead an international team to ensure that the brand’s vision, values, and narrative are consistently and compellingly conveyed across all social media channels. This role requires a strategic and creative leader with expertise in luxury branding and a deep understanding of the global social media landscape. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin and English and possess a keen insight into the APAC market while overseeing strategies that resonate with international audiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Lead Social Media Strategy: Design and implement a cohesive global social media strategy that aligns with brand objectives and enhances brand identity, engagement, and growth.
  • Oversee Content Creation and Calendar: Guide content strategy, including visuals, copy, and multimedia, that aligns with key marketing campaigns, product launches, and global events.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with PR, creative, marketing, and e-commerce teams to ensure integrated and synchronized communication across channels.
  • Audience Growth & Engagement: Develop initiatives that increase the brand’s follower base and engagement across all channels, including WeChat, Weibo, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
  • Brand Storytelling: Craft and share compelling stories that resonate with the brand’s core audience, effectively conveying the heritage, craftsmanship, and artistry behind each piece.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze performance metrics and data to continuously refine and optimize social media campaigns; provide actionable insights to improve effectiveness and ROI.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor an international social media team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • APAC and Global Market Insights: Utilize strong understanding of APAC markets, consumer behaviors, and cultural nuances to guide localized strategies within a global framework.


Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years in social media management, digital marketing, or brand strategy with at least 5 years in luxury or high-end consumer goods. Experience in jewelry, fashion, or similar high-end sectors is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • International Perspective: Proven track record of overseeing global social media campaigns that successfully navigate and bridge both APAC and Western markets.
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to interpret data, understand social media analytics, and make informed decisions to enhance campaign performance.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Deep understanding of cultural nuances, especially within the APAC market, and the ability to create globally resonant content with localized appeal.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading and developing diverse, cross-functional teams, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.


Compensation

A competitive compensation package will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications, including relocation support if applicable.
